PH Box Office Update: 20 to 26 July 2026

Three titles opened on Wednesday 22 July into The Odyssey's second week. Pinocchio: Unstrung was the widest of them on 8,426 filled seats at 3.4 percent occupancy, with Lockbox on 6,990 at 3.9 percent and I, Object on 4,664 at 3.1 percent. Ang Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam took its screens on Friday 24 July and read 845 seats at 2.0 percent. The four together took 5.7 percent of everything the week filled, and Rosario read a single 163-seat screening that same Friday with 161 of those seats filled.

The comparison week covers six days, 14 to 19 July, because collation began on 14 July. Against it the market added 82,934 filled seats and an estimated ₱46.66 million, and occupancy held at 10.9 percent against 10.7 percent. Measured per day rather than per week, this one filled 52,867 seats against 47,855. Every parenthetical change in the tables below is measured against that shorter week, so each one flatters this week by a day or more: The Odyssey's estimated gross reads 73.0 percent higher because its comparison is an opening stretch of five days, not a full seven.

The shape of the week ran off The Odyssey's opening weekend. Monday 20 July still carried 12.7 percent on that momentum, midweek bottomed at 6.9 percent on Wednesday as the new titles took their screens, then Saturday and Sunday came back at 16.1 and 15.8 percent.

Those Wednesday openings took their screens from the holdovers. Minions & Monsters went from 127 measured screenings on Tuesday to 34 on Wednesday, and Moana from 624 to 484, before both took screens back for the weekend.

SM Mall of Asia was the busiest single cinema on 24,040 filled seats at 44.2 percent, ahead of SM City North Edsa on 17,303 and SM Megamall on 14,231. Among the rooms that meet the fullest-room tests set out in the method note, IMAX at SM City North Edsa ran fullest at 86.4 percent, filling 8,287 of 9,594 seats offered across 26 measured screenings.

The Odyssey stayed first in its second week on 216,536 filled seats, and its occupancy firmed to 21.3 percent from the 17.6 percent of its opening five days. That is an unusual second week: the seats offered to it rose by more than a third and it still filled a larger share of them. Moana held second on 68,465 seats, easing to 8.0 percent from 9.5 percent, and its run began before Takilya started counting. Toy Story 5 took 22,372 at 7.5 percent from 8.3 percent, also mid-run when the record opened, and Evil Dead Burn was flat on 20,883 seats at 8.6 percent against 8.7 percent.

Below those, several of the smaller holdovers gained fill on fewer offered seats. Obsession went to 15.4 percent from 10.9 percent, Moana (Sing Along) to 14.7 percent from 10.1 percent, The Death of Robin Hood to 12.0 percent from 3.5 percent, and SUPERGIRL: WOMAN OF TOMORROW to 8.6 percent from 6.6 percent. Nine continuing titles gained on fill and eight gave ground, and Moana and Toy Story 5 were the widest of the declines, at 8.0 and 7.5 percent. Second Child closed out after Tuesday 21 July on 1,469 seats for the week.

The Odyssey's own run since 15 July now stands at 346,488 seats filled of 1,756,457 offered, 19.7 percent occupancy, and an estimated ₱178.91 million. It opened inside the record, so that figure covers the whole run rather than part of one.

These figures are estimates from what Takilya observed. They are not audited distributor returns.

Seats filled and seats offered are read off each cinema's own seat map for a screening. A reading taken more than six hours ahead of the show is set aside, so advance sales are never reported as a full house. A screening counts only where the reading gives a whole seat count against a known room capacity, and each showing is counted once however many times it was read.

Estimated gross is a floor. It multiplies the seats a screening filled by the ticket price observed for that screening, and falls back to the lowest applicable published price where none was seen. For this week 68.09 percent of filled seats carried a directly observed price.

Dollar figures use the 24 July 2026 reference rate of ₱61.835 to the dollar.

Coverage is the 6 chains, 139 branches and 609 auditoriums counted here. Fullest-room claims compare only the rooms that offered at least 2,000 seats across the week and carried at least 20 measured screenings spread over six of the seven days. A room is set aside when more than a quarter of its readings sat at full capacity, because a reading pinned at capacity cannot tell a sold-out house from a seat allocation the cinema had closed.
